Word and Worship

Word and Worship Ladies  are you coming? It's Saturday 10th March, 7-30-9-30pm, £2.50 on the door. We've planned the programme to give space for God and space for us. Space to spend time worshipping. Space to chat to one another. Space to pray and be prayed for. Space to listen without interruptions! The evening starts with hot drinks and delicious bespoke cookies at 7.30. We've then got half an hour before the worship starts. Take the time to chat with friends; browse the bookshop; and take a look at the Information table, where you can find out more about Activate, Exposition, Fourteen ,Serenje Penpals and Hope For Justice. From 8-9.15 we'll worship together , I'll bring a message from the Bible, and we'll pray. Then we still have 15 minutes for more chatting before the evening is officially over and we rush back to our homes. It's going to be a wonderful evening.  If you haven't yet got someone to come with, why not simply ask God today to sh

Through the lens of Romans 8:28

Blessings - Laura Story We pray for blessings, we pray for peace. Comfort for family, protection while we sleep. We pray for healing, prosperity. We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering. All the while, You hear each spoken need. Your love is too way too much to give us lesser things. Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops? What if your healing comes through tears? What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near? What if trials of this night, are Your mercies in disguise? We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear. We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near. We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love. As if every promise from Your word is not enough. All, the while, You hear each desperate plea. And long that we'd have faith to believe. Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops? What if your healing comes through tears? What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near

A Toolkit of Memorable Bible Verses

We are in the middle of a sermon series that I'm really loving!  The Texts For Life Sundays are brilliant - challenging, helpful and stimulating. It's a challenge to learn the memory verses  - each time I go to the fridge for milk or food, there they are, all lined up on the door to help me! There's a great textsforlife website with sermons and resources, as well as the daily blog. I am finding it so encouraging to have that daily blog ping by email into my inbox ! The short, varied reflections from all kinds of different people in our Kerith community are fascinating. Great to use as a springboard for the Holy Spirit to talk to you in those "spare" 5 minutes at any time during the day. If you don't feel you're quite on board yet with the series, it's really not too late to join in. You can listen again to all the sermons (and look ahead to the future sermons in the series!) here Let's remember what it's all about:"Texts for Life is

This is Love

"As he went out into the street, a man came running up, greeted him with great reverence, and asked, "Good Teacher, what must I do to get eternal life?"  Jesus said, "Why are you calling me good? No one is good, only God. You know the commandments: Don't murder, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't lie, don't cheat, honor your father and mother."  He said, "Teacher, I have—from my youth—kept them all!"   Jesus looked him hard in the eye—and loved him! He said, "There's one thing left: Go sell whatever you own and give it to the poor. All your wealth will then be heavenly wealth. And come follow me."  The man's face clouded over. This was the last thing he expected to hear, and he walked off with a heavy heart. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and not about to let go.  Looking at his disciples, Jesus said, "Do you have any idea how difficult it is for people who 'have it all' to

Girls Just Want to have Fun

We had a fun fun fun time on Saturday afternoon at the Sound of Music Singalong Movie! Really great to meet lots of new women and also many visitors. We loved the popcorn, the hot drinks (on a cold snowy afternoon) and the ice creams. We loved sitting next to friends and singing along together. A few of us even shed a tear or two at times! We loved celebrating those women that had dressed up or brought along props. Like this postcard says - we just had fun! I'm so grateful for the team that made the event happen - each of you who worked hard before, during and after the event knows that I couldn't have done it without you!!! Special thanks to both Colin and Kev - who worked really hard behind the scenes, with all the technical and all the practical components - I really appreciate them serving our event so happily - thanks guys! We want to provide a variety of events for you all - because we women like variety and we don't all like the same things, just because we're
