Rachel Hickson at Real 2011

If you were with us at Kerith today you'll have already heard the great news that Rachel Hickson will be one of our speakers at Real 2011! Rachel leads Heartcry For Change Ministries   Part of their vision is "Delivering a message of hope to women across the nations and cultures to help them arise with a new confidence so that they can be equipped and ready to fulfil their destiny and execute their kingdom purpose".Rachel has an international speaking and prophetic ministry. She will really enrich all that we are planning to bring you at Real. As Kumbi said this morning "You will be changed" We had the privilege of having Rachel speak and getting to know her in Bracknell last June. She spoke at each meeting on 6th June. I was away at a conference in the morning, but hurried home so that I would hear Rachel in the evening. I'm so glad I hurried! Rachel spoke a fantastic message about contentment (and being dis content) entitled "I have a secret"

Other Great Blogs

I've recently updated the links on my blog to some other great blogs. As many of you get this blog through email I guess you don't really visit the main site, so thought I'd flag them up with you here. I do read some blogs by men too (Simon and Andy from Kerith, Sean and Craig from Reading, Steve Tibbet,) and also some "topic blogs" (Serenje, Stirred up leadership, Willow Creek) ...but these are the women that I follow! Leading and Loving it connecting, encouraging and equipping Pastors wives and women in ministry The Preachers Wife  Thanks to Heather for this one! Charlotte Gambill  You already know I think that Charlotte's completely amazing - she's just posted a video blog with a new year message, encouraging us all to plan and prepare - it's great! Girltalk  These women (mum and 3 daughters) are so godly - practical, wise advice - always cross-centred and Jesus-focussed. Great photos too! Shauna Niequist  Bill and Lynne Hybel's daughter,

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Last year, as we focused on launching, maintaining and growing our 3 Sunday meetings at Kerith, we took a break from organising much in the way of other large events. However, that was so last year ! This year we have the Real Conference to look forward to, and we also have 2 large events planned for you this Spring - look out this year for the events...What we really want is to spend time together as women having fun, encouraging one another - and doing a variety of things (I like variety - even on walks and in coffee shops!). On March 19th there's a "Simply Worship and Word" evening planned (more details soon). But first...and with tickets available from the Kerith  reception and also every Sunday...we proudly announce... It's going to be a great evening! Ruth is organising this event, and she's got a fab team including the best quiz-master in town, and some great men to cook for us! Come on your own or in pairs, 3's etc and we'll get you in a team,

Plan the Diary

Hey my friends is it too late to say Happy New Year?! I guess it's a bit late..but it's still January! It's taken me a while to feel ready for a new year, but I think I'm there now - particularly excited to start to think plan and prepare for Real 2011! There's exciting news coming about our guest speaker; also about the theme I feel God's given me for us all. More soon! In the meantime, please save the date ! Friday evening 1st July and all day Saturday 2nd July . Get it in your plans, calendars, blackberries, whatever - but make it a "non negotiable". You need to be there - it's for you! So Simon and I had "the talk" the other evening...not that talk...but the "Dates for 2011" talk. Mmmm... let's just say it finished far better than it started! Seems like I had thought it was more of an "event" than my significant other did - for him it was a task that needed to be done - can anyone relate? Let me backtrack -
