Ready for REAL Women's Conference?

So cool to hear that others are also getting excited and ready for REAL next weekend ! Thanks for the tweet Liz! " RT @ LizBabbs : Looking forward to leading wkshop at 'Real' ladies conf - guess there's no plastic surgery then! Nxt w/end, Bracknell " mmm so can I wear some false nails and still be authentic?! Have had my roots done - now that's a necessity! Look out at Kerith today for signs of REAL approaching! We're hiding the recent deliveries so you can have some lovely surprises next Friday evening and Saturday all day :) My "getting ready" yesterday was trying to buy a new top to wear (sister I know you're with me on this o ne - a good investment!) mmm it was hot and it was busy ...and, well, I think I may need to have another go! Perhaps the shops will be empty at 3pm today?! Must go - have got 2 lovely labradors to walk before Church this morning!

REAL Women's Conference ..it's soon!

It's the final countdown.......! Yes Real is just around the corner  - it's going to be an amazing gathering of women. We'll have lots of fun together, we'll listen, talk, sing, talk, pray, talk, shop, talk, learn, be challenged and informed, talk, talk and talk some more! This conference is for all women - all ages, all types. So come - come and be part of it! I couldn't bear the thought of any of you missing out because of fear or lack of information or????? One friend is coming with 5 of her non/nearly/not-sure-about-all-this-Christianity friends! And thank you Melita for your boldness and large heart, that meant you personally "encouraged" 4 ladies to book in! So le t's keep inviting others to join us. And if you are coming, then I can't wait to see you next Friday evening and all day Saturday. We are in for an incredible time together as we choose to place ourselves in God's path. To stop for a (long) moment and clear the decks so tha

Peace at last

Saturday - Peace at Last! 11am and I am doing my favourite "Saturday downtime" thing - reading the papers, drinking coffee and listening to Jonathan Ross (I confess) Peace at last because the day started at 5.45, getting son 1 up and out to college ready for a DofE trip to Snowdon .   Then getting daughter up and ready and out, together with her friends to volunteer at Oakwood stables. (although neither happening was as uneventful and straightforward as that - "do i have any gloves?"(at 5.45am)..."do we have any ice packs?" (at 5.45 am)..."can you cook me some pasta to take?" (at 7.45 am) - same in your house?!    :) :) :) Diesel was very low, so off to pop £20.01 in (just missed it) and by then (especially given that son 2 and husband were at home still in their beds) I decided it was Starbucks time :) One last task - food shop - food for today and tomorrow and the beginning of next week including packed lunches for Monday plus all the st

Hello!

When you've had a blogging break it's so hard to start again - I either feel that I should write about momentous things, or (as is the case this time) there's just so much to say ! I've been a busy bee - away from my computer too...so enough of the excuses! Recent Highlights: Simon had an amazing time in Singapore - and was fantastic at frequent texts and phone calls - tricky with a 7 hour time difference. So so helpful for enabling our family to still feel connected .   Plus he brought me home a Singapore Starbucks mug to add to my collection :) Cherish Conference in Abundant Life Bradford Wow wow wow - such  fantastic speakers; an amazing theme - "who are you adding into your life?" It takes effort - but our life is not just for us . Great to spend time with other women - some of whom I have "known" for ages, but have never spent enough time with them to hear their stories. So challenged by the serving attitude of the team. So inspired by
