I read all these inspirational thoughts from other Christians on Twitter...and thanked God for them , because they encouraged, helped and challenged me especially in my thought patterns.

Sometimes we just need to speak out truth.
To speak it out loud to ourselves.
To speak it out so that we start to believe it, so that the truth overwhelms the doubts and fears.
I had a hard day last week. A day where I felt full of fear.
I chose to say out loud the promises of God ,verses in the Bible that I know, and lines from worship songs.

Speaking the truth to myself wasn't easy, and it wasn't a "magic wand". But speaking (the truth) to myself made me stronger - I pray it makes you stronger too.


2 Tim 3 v 15-17   There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.

3 Little Bottles

Thought I'd mix it up today and do something lighthearted here. I popped into town this morning (as an aside, anyone else still incredulous that "new Bracknell / The Lexicon is so great and that it's really here to stay?!)  Anyhow, I popped into town for a quick wander and bought 3 "essentials" I'd run out of, so I thought I'd share them with you - and of course I'd love to hear about your 3 recent essential purchases. 1 Contact lense solution I've worn glasses since Secondary school, and contact lenses since I left Uni. Gas permeables - great for me - slightly perilous in swimming pools / the sea / other people's sinks (£80 to replace). They work for me - and so a couple of bottles of solution each month keep me going.I ran out a couple of days ago, so it was £4.70 well spent for clean lenses and clear eyesight. 2. Meeting my Hero

Yesterday, I met one of my heroes! Bobbie Houston of Hillsong is a beautiful woman! I love her teachings, her godly wisdom, her self deprecating humour. I love the way she leads the whole Colour conference and Sisterhood movement. I listen to her podcasts and read her articles and books. Here at the Global Leadership Summit in Willow Creek,Chicago, her husband Brian gave the most extraordinary, vulnerable and honest responses to Bill Hybel's interview ( notes here) He was signing books at the end of the break and as I turned a corner, there she was! Not being mobbed by fans, but just chatting with a couple of people. Not sure if many of you realise this, but I'm actually an introvert, and quite shy. No really, I am! There's no way I would confidently walk up to someone I admire and begin a conversation! So I walked away.
