You're the Giver of Life

You came down to find us,
led us out of death

When our hearts were far away,
Your love went further still
(Matt Redman - You alone can rescue)

We sang these words in worship last Sunday at Kerith.
Amazing words - full of truth about Jesus, our Saviour who came to us, to find us, rescue us, and lead us away from all the choices and circumstances that would have led to our death.
The same Jesus who loved us and loves us when are hearts are  cold, distant, far away.
What a Saviour - how wonderful that He leads us,
that He says "Follow Me".

I want to follow Him away from death and into life.
Away from death and into life...in my relationships and friendships, choices and decisions, reactions and attitudes.
"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live".   (Deut 30:19)
Every day I need His help, grace and guidance to choose life.

We lift up our eyes
You're the giver of life

I Have Decided To Follow Jesus, No Turning Back

I have decided to follow Jesus...no turning back.Take a listen to this beautiful song from Hillsong - every time I hear these words and sing along it changes my perspective, turns me around, gets my focus off me and onto Jesus - "Christ Is Enough For Me". ...No turning back, I've been set free...Christ is enough for me.

Discover your Worth, your Strength, your Purpose

Following a successful Kerith launch in the Spring, Sarah Farley and her team are ready to go again, leading their 2nd SHINE course.
SHINE is an eight week self esteem course for women. The evenings are a mixture of Talks and discussion time, with a practical approach to learning. It's a really encouraging environment, and the evenings are a lot of fun. The course starts this Tuesday evening, and there are still some spaces available. Here's your personal invite from Sarah!Shine is about to run again and I'm excited to see what God is going to do this time round. If you haven't already heard, Shine is a course designed for women who want to live their life in abundance, the way God designed them to live it. To recognise all their worth, to grow in self-esteem, to see all their strengths and positives and ultimately live a life of purpose. We've still got a few places left so if you're interested there's more information here on the Kerith website, where you can…

Not the Summer I'd Planned

"Life's detours means  God wants you to run right into His arms  so He can reconstruct your heart"  Ann Voskamp
Well, let's just say that it's not been the summer I thought I was going to have!!!
I'm so grateful we had our relaxing holiday in the sunshine
I'm so grateful it's summer time, and therefore not so many work commitments
I'm so grateful for my family being around
I'm so grateful for a wonderful and kind church family

If I was going to have an accident ...to slip over on the back door mat....in my wedges...feeding the dogs.. and dislocate and fracture my ankle...then I'm so glad I was at home with family around and with access to swift expert medical help.

The accident was so sudden and it was immediately obvious that I couldn't sort it on my own! I'm pretty squeamish so I'll save you the details, but the angle of my foot prompted me to say out loud "I've just done something really bad".

Funny isn't it, when yo…
